To the Editor:
The universal prayer intercessions guide us in the ways of Christ. We pray for shelter for the homeless, healing for the sick and for our elected leaders and the needs of our local parish. Yet, year after year there is one prayer I never hear during prayer petitions at Mass: the prayer petition for us to address the climate change crisis. “Lord, hear our prayer.”
