To the Editor:
For hundreds of years, Catholic tradition has celebrated May as the month of Mary, the Blessed Virgin Mary! It was acclaimed in Catholic parishes and Catholic media! Homes and schools had May altars, May crowning was a major parish event, Marian hymns were sung at all Masses and Marian devotions and the rosary were encouraged and prayed. This is what I believe was the expectations of the faithful. I don’t think that expectation should change. The Church and the world need a Hail Mary.
