Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Doris H. Huot, 89, a resident of Davenport will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 417 Main St. downtown Davenport. 

Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St. Davenport.  A Prayer Service will be offered at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Doris died Monday, April 25, 2011 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Doris H. Windler was born December 27, 1921, Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Collins) Windler.  She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy, Davenport, in 1941.  Doris was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Daughter of Isabella and volunteer at the Discovery Shop, Bettendorf.  She enjoyed playing bridge and cooking. She was a very devoted and loving mother always attentive to the needs of her children.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Care & Share or the Kahl Home Building Fund. The family would like to thank and acknowledge Dr. William Jerome, staff at Trinity Internal Medicine, nurses and staff at the Kahl Home and Genesis West Pulmonary Unit and Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House for the special care, love, and devotion shown to their mother.

Survivors include her three sons: Thomas Huot and his friend Joann Van Fossen, Davenport, Richard Huot (D‘Anne), Round Rock, TX. and Timothy Huot (Jan), Cleburne, TX., grandchildren, Elizabeth Wilson, Jennifer Huot and Christopher Huot.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Dan, and a brother Alfred Windler.
