Clinton — The Franciscan Peace Center Social Justice Film Fest continues April 21 with “Gasland,” a film about the natural gas driling boom. Screening starts at 6:30 p.m.; no cost to attend.

Iowa City — The next Worldwide Marri­age Encounter weekend will take place May 1-3 at the Highlander Clarion Hotel. Davenport — Humility of Mary Housing, Inc. (HMHI) will hold its semi-annual Fresh Start Benefit Sale April 24 and 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will take place at the HMHI office and donation center located at 3805 Mississippi Ave. Donations for the sale can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Needs include single beds, dressers and sofas to help furnish apartments for families in need.
Davenport — St. Alphonsus Parish is hosting a blood drive May 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the school gym. To raise money for the Red Cross of the Quad Cities, the parish will raffle off an emergency weather radio and a first aid travel kit; tickets are $1 each.
Epworth, Iowa — Father Piotr Nawrot, SVD, will perform rare baroque music of South Africa April 24 at Divine Word College. The concert begins at 7 p.m.; free-will donations are accepted as admission.
