International Day of Peace

Clinton — The International Day of Peace will be celebrated at The Canticle, home of the Clinton Franciscans with a day-long Prayer Vigil for Peace on Sept. 18.

The observance begins at 8 a.m. with the Arboretum Drum­ming Circle. Other speakers and programs throughout the day include: Marcia Flory, Dr. Mona Alqulali, Catholic Mass with Msgr. Francis Henricksen, Sister Michael Marie Burns, Sister Nancy Miller, Rev. Sue Peters of Unity Center, April Wise and Joyce Ollie of Zion Lutheran Church.

There is no charge; however, those planning to spend the day and have lunch at The Canticle are asked to make a reservation. A detailed schedule can be found at www. ClintonFranciscans.com
