Krueger begins novitiate journey

Mary Therese Krueger of Chicago, Illinois, was received into the community of the Sisters of the Presentation of Dubuque on Oct. 3. With this Rite of Initiation, she begins her novitiate journey.

Krueger is the third of five daughters of Ann and James Krueger of Villa Park, Illinois. She attended St. Alexander Catholic Grade School and Willowbrook High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science in 2011 and doctorate in physical therapy in 2012 from St. Ambrose University in Davenport. Currently, she is a physical therapist at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and is taking a graduate class at Catholic Theological Union in Hyde Park, both in Illinois. In addition, Krueger is on the core team for The Mustard Seed, a young adult ministry group in the Joliet Diocese. She also participates in and assists with various service opportunities and is training for the Chicago Marathon.

She became acquainted with the Presentation Sisters while at St. Ambrose and in particular after participating in a service discernment trip to New Orleans.
