Clinton — The Franciscan Peace Center will continue its monthly Social Justice Film Fest Jan. 14 with a showing of “In Plain Sight.” The movie starts at 6:30 p.m. at The Canticle. In Plain Sight is a documentary featuring six modern-day abolitionists as they fight sex trafficking across America. The event is free and open to the public.

Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting a grief ministry for those enduring any type of hurt. The group meets on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in McEleney Hall. Iowa City — St. Thomas More’s Stephen Ministry is hosting a talk about resiliency Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. Carla Melby-Oetken from the Uni­versity of Iowa’s liveWELL program will present an introduction to building resiliency. She will discuss how to develop and improve resiliency and explain the role faith and spiritual practices play in helping individuals recover from difficulties.
