Iowa City — St. Thomas More’s Stephen Ministry is hosting a talk about resiliency Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. Carla Melby-Oetken from the Uni­versity of Iowa’s liveWELL program will present an introduction to building resiliency. She will discuss how to develop and improve resiliency and explain the role faith and spiritual practices play in helping individuals recover from difficulties.

Davenport — The Christian Service Committee of Our Lady of Victory Parish is sponsoring an ecumenical renewal day for all adults with disabilities and their family and friends. This spiritual event will take place on Feb. 27 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the parish center. Cost is $15 for retreatants and $10 for volunteers.
