To the Editor:
After 99 years, The Witness, published on behalf of the Archdiocese of Dubuque, ceased publication earlier this month. This newspaper was an important source of news and spiritual formation for generations of Catholics in northeastern Iowa.
My husband and I received and read that publication faithfully, as we do The Catholic Messenger. We wanted to take a moment to recognize their many contributions to the Iowa Catholic community and thank all those involved for their dedication through the years.
