CLINTON — Nancy Peart, longtime principal of Prince of Peace Catholic School, will retire at the end of the 2020-21 school year.

Peart

In the 1980s, Peart assisted with the consolidation of Catholic schools in Clinton and served for six years as Prince of Peace’s school board president. She began her role as principal in 2000.

“I love Catholic schools, especially this one, and have been blessed with being able to serve in many capacities to ensure the continuance of Catholic education in our community,” Peart said.

“Nancy was a fierce advocate for the individual student and always fought for what is best for students,” said Lee Morrison, superintendent of Catholic schools. “She exhibited a constant love of family!”

The search for a new principal will begin at the end of the month. “Our board has met with our diocesan superintendent and has worked out the logistics for the search committee. All diocesan schools are equal opportunity employers and the position is open to all qualified applicants,” Peart said.
