Kay Steele paints the windows of St. Anthony Parish Center in Davenport.

DAVENPORT — St. Anthony Parish in downtown Davenport took first-place honors in the 2021 downtown holiday display challenge.
During a recent Mass, parishioner Kay Steele, who painted the windows of the parish hall with a Nativity scene, accepted the Clark W. Griswold Jr. award for excellence in illumination. The trophy remains at the parish for the next year. More than 40 businesses participated in the event and the public voted.
